Hey everyone, hoping for a little help here with my brew panel. I have a 50A for back to back panel that I purchased pre assembled from another manufacturer(I know, boo hiss). It is based off of Kal’s design, aside from omitting the volt and amp meter display. I’ve had the panel for a few years and finally got around to setting up my brewery. Upon the first attempt to calibrate my temp probes and perform an auto tune. Within a few minutes I heard a faint popping sound and the panel turned off. I opened the panel to find a smell of hot electrical components, and a burned up ice cube relay for the safe start interlock. I ordered a replacement relay and attempted again with the same results. I’ve received some help and guidance from the manufacturer, but he is no longer responding to emails. I’m very much a noob when it comes to anything electrical, aside from the basics. I don’t want to keep throwing money at new relays just to have them burn up as I’m trying to trace the problem. My breaker is GFCI, and hasn’t tripped during any of this in case anyone is wondering. Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you provide some pictures? Otherwise we're running a bit blind here.

Who is the manufacturer? Given that they are no longer replying to emails, I probably know as there are a few that have been doing this for years now, but I'd like to confirm.

For what's it's worth we support our products and customers for life, and it doesn't matter if you purchased new or used. We will always support you if you're using one of our products. We don't stop replying to emails after your warranty runs out as most others do. We’ve been around since 2009.

Given that others do not publish their schematics as we do and do not provide support after your warranty runs out, your best bet is to probably hire someone with electrical experience to troubleshoot for you. It may be something simple.

Good luck!

Kal
