Looking at brewing a Dortmunder Export. Can I use the water profile for the German Pils recipe on this site?
Ca=59, Mg=8, Na=16, Cl=63, SO4=93

Really depends on what you're after. You can brew any beer, with any water.
Historically a Dortmunder Export is known to use really hard (full of minerals) water, probably close to 2x of what you you listed I believe, but I also believe that they no longer use that water and that most water for beer comes via aqueducts from quite a distance away.
Sorry, I've never brewed the style myself so have done zero research into it - only know that historically it's usually been very hard water. Maybe others that have brewed the style can chime in. You may want to also post your recipe and what your want out of it.
Good luck!
Kal

Definitely tone it down then. At the end of the day you can brew any beer any way you like, as it's for you!

Reviewing the 2015 BJCP guidelines, it looks like it's been placed in the same subcategory as German Helles. I think I'll use your water profile for the Munich Helles recipe.

Dortmunder version 2.0 came out very good. Used the Electric Brewery water profile for the Munich Helles recipe and the overall profile was more balanced than my original version. It's a keeper!

I entered the first original Dortmunder in a local competition and it came in 1st place in the pale lager category. One judge suggested that I increase minerality - go figure...
