Hi everyone! First time post, though have been avidly browsing the forum and the rest of the site for quite a while.

Got a question about how to attach the boil kettle dip tube / pick-up tube.

I'm in Europe, so am looking to use different kettles than the Blichmann ones (which are just too expensive over here). I do want to use the Hop Spider, so I need to work out how to attach a 1/2" or 5/8" dip tube to the bottom port on the kettle. On the Blichmann kettles, they have some clever way that the dip tube "snaps in by hand (no tools required)". Is there a way to reproduce this with off-the-shelf parts? It would be really nice not to have to get the spanner out after every boil!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

When you mention "hop spider" I believe you mean the Hop Stopper featured here?: https://shop.theelectricbrewery.com/collections/hop-stopper

If yes, can you email us at HopStopper@TheElectricBrewery.com - this'll go directly to the Hop Stopper manufacturer who has a solution for kettles that do not already have a outlet port / dip tube.

Cheers!

Kal
