I got my Hop Stopper yesterday and attempted to install in my kettle. I have a male fitting on my kettle and ordered the correct corresponding kit for attachment. Everything was fine until I attempted to tighten dip tube in to the fitting using the compression fitting. Try as I might I can not get the compression fitting to stay in place. I followed the directions to a T (I think) and no dice. Any insight would be helpful. TIA

Hi! Sorry for the troubles. I've reached out the manufacturer as they are best positioned to assist (they don't normally follow the forum). Cheers!

I confirmed that you had ordered the following:

https://shop.theelectricbrewery.com/collections/hop-stopper/products/hop-stopper-2-0-with-1-2-od-custom-dip-tube-and-1-2-npt-connector-for-misc-kettles-up-to-30-gallons

With options:

My kettle fitting: 1/2 inch NPT male
Vertical height of kettle outlet in inches: 1.5

I had the same problem years ago. I didn't measure as precise as I should of. I cut a bit off of the dip tube and I got a good fit. Still using it after more than 10 years.

Dennis Collins here from Innovative Homebrew Solutions, manufacturer of the Hop Stopper 2.0 line of products. I'm a little confused on the problem. Perhaps a couple of photos might help me to understand the problem a little better.
