Hi all, thanks for adding me to the group. I'm new to electric brewing. I just built a EBIAB system. I noticed after my 4th batch with the new system that the coating on the electric element is wearing off. Most of the element looks like copper now. Is this normal/safe?

It must be abnormal. A chemical reaction has occurred. It is best to replace it. Of course, I am not a professional, and I cannot give you professional advice, sorry.
