Long time brewer...new to the forum...upgrading the brewery!

Hi everyone, I have been brewing 10gal batches for years now on a 3 keg system that has served my quite well. Now that I am retired, I have time, so I am retiring my "all propane" system and moving to electric (HLT and Boil) and natural gas (Mash). Here is a picture of the new brew stand.

I have two more sessions on the old system, then I should have plenty of beer/time to start moving components to the new stand and get it up and running. Will likely need some help from the forum with the electrical configuration. I have a 50amp budget to work with, but being a mechanical guy, the electrical stuff is going to be a challenge.[/img]

If you're interested in a 50 amp control panel we have two available, depending on how you like to brew:

50A Electric Brewery Control Panel for back to back batches: For producing up to 20 gallons of finished product per batch. A single element is used in the boil kettle and hot liquor tank, but both may be run at the same time allowing you to boil one batch while heating water for the next (or for cleaning/heat sanitizing the chiller).

50A Electric Brewery Control Panel for 30+ gallons: For producing more than 30 gallons of finished product per batch or to speed up your brew day by reducing heat times. Perfect for 1-3 bbl pilot systems. Up to two elements are used per kettle with one kettle powered at a time. If you're consistently producing 30 gallons or more, or think you may want to in the future, this is the panel for you. You may use two heating elements for now and add two more in the future.

Those control panels are really nice, but the cost is a killer for me, and likely more than I really need. The control panel I am looking at building will probably not be cheap, but by building it myself, it will help me understand the functionality of the various components and the system as a whole when its done. Part of the fun with this hobby is scrounging for parts rather than buying everything new....my stand for instance so far has only cost me about $75 for the burner, N/G fittings, and a few fasteners. All the aluminum you see for my brew stand (and allot more in my garage) was free from a factory closing (it was going in the trash if someone didn't snag it quick).

I found some schematics on this forum that I will be modifying slightly for my control panel. I will hopefully be posting it for feedback from the forum soon before I start collecting parts. We Mechanical Engineers and not all that savvy when it comes to electronics so I will be soaking up any advice/warnings from the electrical experts here!
