I bought the painted, not pre-punched enclosure because I am building a craftbeerpi system, but also using several switches and safeties of the Kal system.

My question is, in the step by step guide when you cut the holes in the panel, it looks like there is some white adhesive backed sheet that you were able to make marks on to line up where you needed to drill... What is this product? I need something I can stick on the door, top and bottom to make pencil marks on since the enclosure is black. I tried painters tape but that just started peeling off.

Thanks I'm advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Can you point to where in the instructions you're seeing this white adhesive backed sheet? None was used so I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to.

The instructions to cut holes are here: http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/control-panel-part-1?page=6

Cheers!

Kal

Apologies Kal! My memory deceived me.

Nonetheless, do you happen to have any suggestions for something I can do to make pencil marks visible? I, admittedly, have not tried to see whether I can see any pencil on the black paint.

I would use green (or blue) painters tape. Cover up the entire enclosure, and write on that. Not only will it make marking locations easier, it'll protect the finish when you cut/drill.
