Hey all!
I've got another weird question to pose to the group. As it is Fall and fruit is plentiful (apples and pears) I am currently working with a big cider project with several variants. The Wife isn't into beer as much as I am. I've got several additions that I am making to add flavors to the ciders. For one of them, I've reached out to some of the areas mid-sized Craft Distilleries and procured a big bucket of spent Gin Botanicals used in their process - Juniper, coriander, lemon & orange peels (think Seattle Cider Company Gin Botanical Cider - if you've had it - it's quite good). Anyway, I have quite a bit of the botanicals left and was wondering if anyone has ever tried to add something like this to a brew and what they have experienced.
I was thinking about throwing a bit into a pilsner or a lager to see what would happen - any ideas on what to try (or not to try)? Maybe add it in its current state - moist with neutral grain spirit or drying it prior to adding to primary or secondary.
Thanks for being Awesome!

I've used coriander and orange peels previously in a rendition of a Belgium Saison. I added during boil with 15 minutes left. Also added 1lb of honey at the same time. I shared it with my local home brew club- several professional brewers/ microbrewery owners- It was very well received.
I can post the recipe if you'd like.
