Local brewer M. Petty used our TheElectricBrewery.com website for guidance to build his very own steampunk version of an electric brewery. I thought I'd share. Very cool indeed! Amazing craftsmanship.
I don't really have any details on this setup so sorry that I can't answer any detailed questions. Looks like some sort of analog temperature dials and displays on the HLT and boil?
Some closeups below. You can really see the attention to detail here. Each of the 3 kettles and the control panel has its own monogrammed box!

That's really neat! Thanks for sharing. Hope the owner/builder can give some background on it at some point.

Added some more enlarged/closeup pics to the original post in this thread that show the attention to detail.

Hey Folks,
Thanks for the compliments on my Steampunk Brewery! It is nice to hear people say nice things! I've been working on it for many years - and loving every minute. I sort of tinker away at things and never remember to take pictures along the way - so I don't have any 'process pictures'.
Kal is telling me some of you might have some questions - I am happy to answer what I can, but don't be offended if I don't get back right away - I don't have a bunch of time during the day to check on hobby stuff (I wish I did!)

Pettybrew,
Welcome to the forum!! That is really cool looking. How long have you been brewing? I assume you have to manually adjust the element power or is there a PID hiding somewhere?

Hi dp,
Thanks for the welcome - Kal and I belong to another brewing list here in Canada - I chenk up on it a few times a week. I have been homebrewing since 1993, but got back into it heavily in 2008 - so however long that is.
To answer your question: My brewery is -intentionally- manual and as simple as I could make it. 2 elements (HLT & BK) and a throttle for each element. there is nothing digital on the system - other than the timer. So the dials you see control the voltage to the elements - so once I reach my temps I can dial it back to maintain or whatever. The gauges are voltmeters telling me how many volts are doing to the element. I keep an eye on temps the old fashioned way - with a normal analog thermometer.

Wow Pettybrew! I'm in complete awe.
Do those kettles fit inside those boxes?

Thanks guys!
Perogi: Yes, all the vessels get 'put-away' into the boxes after each session. My brewing area is a multi-use area and I need to get all this stuff out of the way for other interests.
I made it to be portable.

What is the box in the back left corner that looks like it has a large cable going into it?
