Howdy!

Anyone etch their corny keg? I found this BYO article but wondered if there was a better way.

Thanks,
perogi.

Kal - I didn't know which category to put this in so feel free to move it as you see fit Smile

Moved the "Packaging & Serving" sub-forum as it's about kegging!

I normally fill up my kegs as high as possible. What would be the benefit of having gallon marks in a corny? Just curious.

Oh no, it's not for marking inside, it's for marking my name on the outside. I got brand new kegs and I'd like a way (without spray painting) to get my name etched into it.

That makes sense. I was really confused before.

Have you tried the salt and vinegar solution with a q tip and 9v battery? You will need a stencil with you name (in reverse) so that the bare part is your name, then just paint the area with the q-tip dipping frequently in the solution. Does a good job and there are several threads. Look for marking inside for brew kettles, works on all stainless, inside or out.
