I'm curious how folks have their panels mounted - I've seen photos of tv mounts and screwed directly into the wall. I'm curious if the tv mount folks went straight into the wall first and then changed their mind and vice versa. Basically, if you were to do it all over again, would you go the same route you did (whichever way that may have been).
Thanks!

I mounted mine directly to the wall and actually hardwired it to the wall. Rather than having a plug. I haven't seen a downside to this approach.

I'd caution against this approach. Hard wiring to the electrical grid of your house or building (no detachable plug on the control panel or wall outlet) makes it a permanent part of the building wiring so different rules and regulations usually apply. Usually the device should be UL/CSA listed for this to be done to code. A panel you built yourself won't be UL/CSA listed by the very nature that you built it yourself (as it's not just about the parts used but the people and shop building it should be listed as well). You can talk to an electrician too to confirm as rules can vary by location, and also talk your insurance company as they may or may not care (or you may not care), but I usually advise against permanently attaching things you build yourself to your electrical grid. Just to be sure.

I have an outlet set up for this, I'm purely just looking at mounting the panel to the wall.
