|
|
So I purchased a TV mount to use for my electric panel and of course it doesnt fit. My panel has the holes for mounting in a square at 14 x 14. Most of the tv mounts Im finding say they fit 12 - 16 but apparently it seems to be 12 or 16. Anyone know of a tv mount which would work for 14 brackets? Looking for a swivel arm so I can pull it out and push it back when not in use.
Thanks!
Dan

I had no luck finding anything that fit the panel exactly. I ended up purchasing a regular 200 x 200 VESA mount and drilling holes in the back of the panel. That gives you TONS of options for mounts. www.monoprice.com is my go-to for mounts.

Thanks Kal! I purchased the one from the second link you posted prior to you posting it. So that is great confirmation that it should work! Appreciate the help guys! I was quite disappointed to try to attach the first mount only to figure out it didn't fit properly.

Compare the photo from the Amazon link to the picture posted. I think the builder drilled holes for the trapezoid mounting plates to allow a perfect fit. There are 8 holes in the top plates and only 6 in the Amazon picture.
I had the same issue mounting issue and I used 3/4" plywood cut to the size of the CP then attached it to the CP. I attached the TV mount to the plywood. I wish I would have thought of this method first

for the first two years, I used a pre-made mount and then ran into a local fab guy that hooked me up with a new mount... I would say it's very strong now!!!

This is what I did before I got my current version. It worked well.
