Anyone have some tips and tricks to get this stuff on? I am trying to install the 1/2 sleeve on 10/3 wire. The sleeve is good up to 3/4 of an inch and the wire is only .67 inches. So it should fit

Thanks

Even compressed / squished together lengthwise? (Like in the video). It'll give wider if you compress it along the length. If compressed it's not big enough, then you need bigger stuff.

Yup, it almost like the PET sleeve is not as big as it states. I'm thinking of trying some dish soap as dumb as that sounds.

Tried the dish soap and no go. Then I took a caliper to the compressed sleeve and it's OD is .64 inches, so yes, smaller the the 10/3 wire and false advertising on the product.

FYI - You shouldn't need to use soap. If the sizing is right, it should just slip on.

I figured so but it was a last ditch effort, going to see if I can return it.

I know I mentioned it above, but I'm still surprised it won't fit as when you compress it along the length it should go 2-3 times as wide as it is normally. So you should be able to even get 1/4" sheathing on a 1/2" wire. See the video I linked to above. It just won't look great after however as there'll be big gaps.
