|
Hi All,
I have used my 50 amp electrical panel for about 4 years now.
Recently the wiring for the heating element overheated and burned. I am trying to figure out the best way to repair the damage.
The NEMA connector burned out 1 prong on both the female and male sides. The fuse also got toasted. The contactor still looks okay and my second element is working thru that circuit.

As I understand this kind of issue can come up from loose connections or stray wires touching things they shouldnt. I checked the wires at the pot and they look okay.
I checked for other loose wires and I couldnt find any. Even the NEMA connector was very tight.
My only idea right now is to simply replace everything that looks overheated.
