|

My Kal clone brewery is complete and I brewed a couple solid beers with it. Couldn't be happier.
My one remaining discrep is that my volt and ammeters do not display anything. I have checked the wiring and I can't find any errors. The power supplies and meters are from Kal and I have the turned the rheostat 20-30 revolutions in either direction.
Output voltage from the doorbell transformers is ~18V.
From Kal, the DC power supplies came set at ~1.0V and 20-30 revolutions in the counterclockwise direction will INCREASE output voltage from the DC power supplies to ~1.1V. 20-30 revolutions in the clockwise direction will DECREASE the output voltage to ~.85V. This is the opposite of the manual.
Do I just need to keep turning in the INCREASE direction (counterclockwise) until I get a display on both meters? That would be a lot of turns!
Thanks!

Disconnect the meters from the power supplies and connect up a multimeter that measures voles, and see if you can get 4.8 to 5VDC on the output side as you continue to turn. If you can't, email us at sales@TheElectricBrewery.com and we'll look after you. Cheers!

Bam.
Disconnected the meters and put the voltmeter leads under the screws. Voltages adjusted both outputs to 4.8V.
Not sure why it worked but I will take it.
Thanks Kal!
