I chose to use this combo volt amp meter. The wiring is pretty straight forward, but I'm pretty sure that if I wire it as shown in the diagram below, it will read only one leg of my 240v service, and will show 120v and only the current being drawn on that leg.
Is anyone familiar with this meter? Can anyone confirm this? I haven't brought 240v into the panel yet, and I don't want to bother wiring up this meter if it's not going to display what I want it to.

I used a similar display with the same Hall effect pick up. Works on just one of the legs of the 240v circuit. If you put it around both one cancels the other one out and you get no reading.

Senor, it will work the way in the diagram and provide an accurate reading. what is it that you feared? Did you intend to place the sensor around both legs of the 240V line?
