|
|
Hello,
I'm looking through the instructions on building the outlet box for the heating elements and had a question about waterproofing the access holes.
From the instructions I found:
"We use a 3/4" NPT cord/wire grip to hold the wire in place at the outlet box.
The grip holds the wire firmly in place and stops the wire from moving.
Once the grip cover is screwed on the rubber seal creates a water resistant seal from the outside:"
That indicates to me that the cord grip seals where the cord enters, but not necessarily where the cord grip is threaded into the access hole.
My question is, do you need to use any sealant where the cord grip threads into the access hole? Or on the plugs which are used to seal the unused access holes?
Thanks!
