I've updated the BREW DAY STEP BY STEP guide to include complete details on the stainless Brew Buckets I've been using and a parts breakdown for the special lids.

(See the last section - STEP 10: Ferment and package)

Yup! These ones here: http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/Brew-Bucket-Stainless-Steel-Fermenter

The domed lid adds some room too for extra krausen.

Kal,
How long have you been using the SS Brew Buckets? I've got one of their 7 gallon Conicals. I really like it. Thinking about getting one of these brew buckets next.

I see that the "Programmable temperature range of 4°C - 18°C (39.2 °F - 64.4°F)".. what do you do when you want to raise the temp above 64.4F??

thanks

Only a month or so.

Wort temp is usually a couple of degrees higher. If I want to go higher, room temp works well (I'll often simply turn them off after a few days of ale fermentation to ramp up to 72F or so - in most cases when fermentation is more than 60-70% done temp isn't important anymore).

How to easily rise up into the 80's for some specialty Belgians is something I still need to figure out. Likely using a heat belt. We'll see!
