Hi I'm wondering what the maximum malt bill capacity for the 20 gal Blichmann (12 gal of wort) is. The reason I'm wondering is that there's a recipe called Anglozilla AKA Skywalker OG which is a English Strong Ale that comes in at an OG of 1.141!!! I've but the recipe into my brewing program and it comes in at 62.37 lbs of malt! (this will probably be the most expensive beer I'll ever brew!) I can always make a smaller batch if necessary, if the MLT can't handle this amount of grain and water (water at 1.25/qt comes out to 19.49 gal approx)

here's the link to the recipe:

(take note i've scaled up the recipe from the 5 gal batch)

Check out Blichmann's website. They have specs like this for all their kettles based on how many qt/lb you want. My gut feel is that sounds like too much. I almost maxed out my 20 gallon MLT when making ~12 gallons of 1.112 Barleywine with just under 40 lbs of grain and the kettle was nearly full. You're looking at just over 50% more. Yikes!
