It's cold outside so maybe you can use that really big freezer for a while, eh? Wink

That would require me trying to get this 200 lb beast up the stairs from the basement (2 half flights up, around a corner). With my back, not going to happen! Wink

We've bought all our appliances from a local place that gives great service and prices but also (equally important to me) uses a professional moving company to deliver their items so there's zero risk. It's not just a couple of teenagers working part time on weekends.

They'll be taking away the old broken one as well... after I steal a bunch of parts from it as backup of course. Wink

Very Happy No, I meant use that really big outside freezer... you know, the one just outside your patio door. Wink

I remember when ours was delivered to our place in Orleans. Same situation as you have. In the basement, 2 half-flights with a 90 and a really tight squeeze through a door at the top of the stairs. Westmount was the company The Bay used for deliveries. Totally professional, capable and courteous. I also remember me and a friend and a set of forearm forklift straps trying to get the damn thing back out of the basement when we moved to Westport. Sheesh!

Doh! Of course! I mis-read what you wrote! Wink

Yeah, we considered moving some of the stuff to the outside when we first emptied the freezer, but we found room in for most of it in our kitchen freezer and by taking over room in my brewery hops/yeast freezer. The little bit of food we lost probably should have been tossed a good year ago....

Ironically we had a bunch of above freezing weather for 2-3 days recently so putting it outside wouldn't have worked anyway... it's been very mild (as you know).

Yup - glad to hear getting it in was easy!
