|
|
On a summer trip to Mt. Vernon I picked up a beer stein in the gift shop that included a recipe for a beer that Washington made circa 1757. He apparently built a significant amount of his fortune from his brewing and distillation projects. The ingredients/method are listed in the attachment. Has anyone tried an heirloom beer like this? Are there any recommended references that could help in translating the listed ingredients/methods using current supplies/methods while still capturing the essence of the recipe?
Thank you!
