I am going through my photos and am in the process of documenting our basement buildout this year. We started the year with an unfinished space full of junk and my woodworking shop. We built a workshop outside the house for my woodworking and for my wife who is a painter and makes stained glass. In its place, we put in a home brewery, bar, bathroom, guest room, home theater, desk area, rec room, exercise room and lots of storage. We designed the space ourselves and assisted the contractor with the buildout. In this thread I will post pictures of the construction process. All the finished pics are in the thread in my signature. Sorry for all the pics - but when I was researching my build - the pics made ALL the difference to me!

Riley looks a lot like our first dog, Jackson. Man, those yellow labs are something else! It's a good thing they are so dang cute, for all the mischief they get in!
The picture of your buddy petting Riley is funny... at first glance, it looks like the whisk is levitating above Riley's nose!

Good job on the build! What a great space.

Thanks guys!

The collars are 1x6 on both the inside rectangle and outside rectangle filled with expanding foam and capped with a 1x3. I used caulk to adhere it to the top of the keezer.

Here's a pic - This is before I completely filled the void with foam as I was dry fitting the cap piece:

Where did you purchase your sink from? Are you happy with the quality and do you remember the approximate cost? Thanks. I'm struggling with buying my sink for my brewery as I'm getting a bit of sticker shock at time.

$340 plus shipping - one of the single best brewery purchases!

This is just fantastic Jonymac. I have a basement I want to finish too, with a pretty similar setup. I'm planning it out now, trying to get the design down, material list roughed out as many details as possible before I commence.

If you had to do it all over again, anything you would change?

KirkMN - I really don't know yet. I had to reconfigure the fan and duct after the build and reinstall the hood, but other than that, nothing that I can think of yet. Everything works beautifully!

Do you have the overall dimensions of your brewery room itself? I'm curious how large a space you have

Are you satisfied with the SS chronicals? I'm considering getting one soon to start with. Have you considered their brite tank?
