Enjoyed listening to the first episode. I have to take huge exception to the BIAB bashing. True, the efficiency is not as great as some get on a traditional 3v system.. but, mine is nowhere near the 60% these guys are mentioning. I traditionally get 72-75% and have gotten even better. Almost seems like they have to say that to sell extra equipment. The BIAB brewers that started this process in Oz have something to brag about. And what is the comment about grain in your wort? That's the purpose of the bag. Clean wort with no lautering to form a good grain bed. I'm confused.

Yeah, I'm not sure as to that episode. I will tell you though, that the guys at the shop aren't just saying that to sell more equipment. I've worked with these guys at that store for quite a while (I currently don't work there) and they honestly push the knowledge they have to customers. I have known a few BIAB brewers who have only managed ~60-ish% in their brews...
