|
|
So I'm starting to use brewing salts now but I'm a little confused on the volume of water entered in the ez brew calculations. I'm using a 50 gl kettle from spike brewing, and with their false bottom my dead space is 6.5 gallons. Do I account for this in the spread sheet or ignore it? Example, if my Grain bill is 63 lbs, that would be 19.68 gls of strike water at a 1.25 ratio. Do I enter that, or 26.18 gls to account for the dead space? I'm sure 6.5 gls affect the make up of the water so I'm thinking I should. Any thoughts?
