So for a bit of background on myself, I am a dentist. This link is very appropriate then but I am curious what this is!

I asked my local brew shop what a "bract" was in more detail than, a part of the hop leaf. The chemical that is important might be a polyphenol. Does anyone have any knowledge of this and can this be used for beer making, or is it just junk.

Thanks for the insight! Articles seldom are what they seem. Most people would agree with part about chewing on a plant as opposed to visiting the dentist!
