Hey guys...
I've started an organization called Homebrew For Heroes. (HB4H) and I need your help.

This is a project to welcome home the service men and women coming home from war. To help raise funds for startup materials (labels, carriers, bottle caps and the like), we have started a campaign on Booster. Basically, T-Shirts are for sale. You can buy one for $20 plus a little for shipping, and Booster will share the profits with the cause.

Please check out the link below, and share it with as many people as you can

There was an agreement reached today and this is the result. Look at the banner ad right there at the top of the largest single homebrew website on the planet! Yep, that's homebrew for heroes!

Congrats! I have to say that this is a most worthy cause... (and I'm not even American but appreciate what's been done).

Thanks Kal. That means a lot coming from you. The crazy thing is, people are so hungry to give back, I've already had people all over the country from coast to coast asking how they start their own "chapter"!
I'm really excited to see where this is heading...

The question has come up if there was a way to simply make a monetary contribution to this organization... More than one guy I have communicated with said that they have too many beer t shirts already! Lol

anyway, you can simply visit www.homebrew4heroes.org and follow the PayPal link on the right sidebar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Craig,

www.homebrew4heroes.org doesn't seem to exist anymore, nor does hb4h.org. Is the project no more?

Absolutely not!

My web guy was working on the site today and it may have been down momentarily. I just checked www.homebrew4heroes.org and www.HB4H.org both seem to be working a bit slow but are working nonetheless. We also own the .com of each URL.

As a matter of fact... we are actively working on an "Lateral" project... Shhhhhh it's a secret! It's going to be a great give-back event to Heroes.

This reminds me... Is there anyone out there that has a firehouse in their town? A police department, perhaps? Did you know you can nominate your local Heroes? We need nominations to roll in! Please consider this unique way to say thanks to your local Heroes!

Strange. All I get is:

Code:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried a proxy to hit it from somewhere else (half way around the world) and they both work which is even wierder still.

Oh... We got seriously spammed the other day from off-shore. My web guy shut down Non-US traffic. I'll get him to turn on Canadian traffic. oops. That's really strange that you could proxy in from another foreign address though...

Ah! Don't worry about it then. If it's only for US people then that's fine.

Yup. From the US - so that's why it worked. Google "proxy surfing". People use it hide themselves. I use it for testing.

She works!

Response time is abysmal however... ~40 second page loads.
