I did a cider this fall. I went and picked up 5 gallons of local unpasteurized cider and added 4 lbs of brown sugar to get 1.070. I fermented with WL English Cider Yeast and it finshed up a little dry at 1.006. This was a great cider and I personally thought a lot better than what is commericailly available. Making cider is brain dead easy compared to beer. Next time I would be a bit more picky on the apples I chose for the cider.

I tried my first hard cider yesterday. Super sweet but still very good. I let my wife try it and she stole it from me! haha... Guess I will be making some of this in a carboy that I rarely use. What temp did you ferment the cider at?
