I'm thinking of purchasing a 50A control panel but brewing batches of 20 gallons or less, with the chance that
some time in the future, I will be upgrading my system to something larger. I would keep two of the heating elements
unplugged/uninstalled, but was wondering if I could get away with using a 30A inline GFI cord after swapping out the control panel 50A receptacle for a 30A? My home has the stove on a 40A circuit and I will be moving in a year anyway (no sense in paying an electrician and getting a city permit for something I won't have any need for in the meantime). With the 30A cord w/ inline GFI, I was intending to plug it into the dryer outlet. Any thoughts? Bad idea? Not safe?
