I've been happily using my electric brewery (50A 220v standard kit) for a few years. However, I've notice a bunch of cool tools, like CraftBeerPi that could be even easier to run with.
Has anyone done a retrofit that replaces the SYL-2352 etc. with something programmable over wifi ?

Hi John,
Anything is certainly possible and this sort of automation is something I dove deeply into before designing my own setup years ago (the one you see on this website). Make sure you choose the right too to match what you plan on doing and choose it for the right reasons. I didn't go with something automated like this and documented my reasons here: http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25382
I don't post this to dissuade you from using something more automated, I just want to make sure you understand all the pros and cons so that you can make an informed choice.
Good luck!
Kal

Really good overview. Thanks. I'm going to try mechanical automation like "a Blichmann autosparge so I don't overflow my vessels" first.
