Does my wiring sound right?

I have no idea. I can't follow schematics that are "described" in words. I need a schematic/picture. s mentioned above, describing electrical circuits with words just doesn't work.

Hello everyone! I'm building my set up based on kal's instructions, but for location and money reasons, I'm doing some exchanges as well! I'll use Mypin TA4 PIDs (instead of SYL-2352) and a SKG Counter (instead of Omega Counter)
I made an adaptation of kal's drawing for the PID's wiring. I did not tested this yet! Maybe a jumper running from 7 to 10 is missing, I'm not sure about this.

I made this drawing based on the information showed in the side of my PID:

As I will also use a SKG Counter (instead of Omega Counter), I made a similar adaptation for counter wiring.

The information from SKD I used are the following:

Can anyone with more experience in eletronics check this please? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the Mypin PID but at first glance it would appear you've got it hooked up incorrectly with respect to the Alarm wiring??? The diagram on the side of the PID shows that pins 5 & 6 are either AL1 or SSR with +/- signs. That makes me wonder if those aren't DC pins? Seems like the AL2 relay pins 11 & 12 are what you'd want to use to complete the AC circuit and sound the alarms.

Apologies if I'm misinterpreting...

Cheers!

Kevin

Hello Kevin!

I belive that you're right, thank you for the heads up!
I made another diagram with this correction, and also changed the timer reset button wiring.

I'll be testing this soon, then I'll come back here to tell if it worked.

Tks again!

Has anyone tried LeoBau's wiring configuration?

I kind of got stuck in the same boat, as I bought TA4s not really knowing they were so different.
I am going to wire mine very similar to shown, but will have a TD4-SNR for the boil PID.

Did this work out for you?

I also went with the Mypin TA4 PIDS, but I bought the Omega counter in Kal's plan. Does anyone have any idea how the wiring sequence would go from the Mypin PIDS to the Omega counter? There are only 10 connection points on the Mypins.

Hey guys jumping ahead a few years here, but I had PID's before jumping on board and buying Kals book and some parts through his suppliers. So what I need to know is Did this work, looking above no one had definite YES !
Also I had an ink bird timer wich needs to be wired differently than the described Omega, so any help on that as well be be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hey Scutlebut, yes it worked!

Please note that I made a correction for the counter diagram on Sep 11 2014, regarding the alarm wiring. That's the one that worked out well.

Unfortunately I have no idea how the ink bird timer works, sorry about that mate.

I'm happy that the diagrams are still helping someone after 3 years! Laughing Mug
