Has anyone who is using a Blichmann Boil Kettle taken the time to verify the measurement from the ball valve port to the bottom of the pot? I am awaiting the shipment of my three Blichmann kettles due to their backorder and the last piece of the puzzle I needed was the Hop Stopper. Obviously not having the BK in my hand I can't verify the measurement they list on their site of 3.1 inches, has anyone ordered one from IHS with those measurements and had it work out in their Blichmann?

Obviously I would like to have all the pieces ready to go when my Blichmann Kettles show up in a couple weeks, so any help from those who have ordered the Hop Stopper already would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Matt

I think you should be able to tell IHS that you have a 20 Gal Blichmann pot and they will be able to get you the correct Hop Stopper. I would hate to to think Blichmann's tolerance would be so far off that each pot had a different height.

3.100" it is (this is from John Blichmann directly when I asked way back when I had one of the first HopStoppers made for these kettle types by Dennis), but we list to have people measure it "just in case" in changes. You never know.

If you want to go ahead and order one with that measurement, go for it - I'd say it's pretty safe. It's the same for all BoilerMaker kettles.
