I am working on a modified control panel to suit my brew system's needs. I am using a slightly smaller enclosure than Kal has used and have removed everything that I will not be using from the schematic.

I only have 2 22mm spaces left in my drawing. I am wiring the alarm buzzer into the first. I have not yet added the timer reset button. Is there any reason I can't leave out the alarm LED? It seems like a redundant feature, but I'm sure it must be there for a reason. Is there something that I am missing?

The buzzer also has a light on it, so you can easily omit the light. This is only a guess, but I think Kal laid it out with the light and the buzzer to balance out the panel and make it look right.

If you are using the auber timer, you don't need a reset button either, there is one on the timer.

That, and when I built mine, buzzers with lights in them weren't available. My buzzer doesn't light up.

I find it also does help balance out the panel too. Without the buzzer it doesn't look right to me.
