Well I got my labels in today and it really makes a difference on the appearance of the Control Panel.

Agreed 100%! I can't look at a panel without tags. It just looks confusing/wrong/naked.

Good work on yours BTW!

Castermmt,
Great job on the panel build! I see the alarms are going which is signaling you to start brewing.
Let's see the rest of the setup.

The Electric Brewery is based on the PID controllers controlling temperatures by using what is called "Fuzzy Logic", hence the name "Fuzzy Logic Brewery". Plus I like the name for my brewery. Mug

I knew about the PID and fuzzy logic, I just didn't know why you picked that name. Now I do and I like it.

The name of my Brewery is called "Falling Hills Brewery", what do you guys think of that. No meaning behind it, a light bulb went off in my head one day..

That is an awesome control panel you got there! Are those PIDS the ones from Auberins? Looks like they changed them up a little

The PID's I got on E bay JLD 612 Universal Digital PID. They were a little cheaper but work for this application, If I did it again I'd of gotten the Auberns just because there's more information about them. The Timer is an Auberns.

Thanks for the compliment, but I just copied Kal's design, Caster

Well I've been busting my butt building my Super Brew table. I scored a used Butcher Block counter top from work that had to be cut down to 10'4" just so we could get it out of a basement. Anyway Here are some pictures of the dirty top, floor sander, fully sanded and then the stained table. once the stain dries I'll put a few coats of poly on and she's ready to rock and roll. Stain color is called "Gun Stock".

that looks incredible. Nice work. How much material did you need to take off to get through the "dirt"?

I don't know how much materiel, but I ran the floor sander on the top for about 1 1/2 hours using 80, 100 and 120 grit sanding pads. I did leave a lot of markings/patina for character. The bottom (the old top side) was much much worse then the now top, so I flipped it and ran only 80 grit on it , I'm not ever going to be using that side. It came out of an old closed down cafeteria kitchen in the steel mill I work at.

Caster,

Im really into woodworking and I must say you table looks fantastic! Being that I love woodworking, what the hell is sitting on top of the table? Is that a sander of some sort? I've never seen anything like that. I work in a woodshop and we have all kinds of different sanders and I've never seen one. Possibly a planner?

I don't think I would put a finish on it except maybe some water seal. Thats what I did to my stand and it's holding up very well. I just don't know how well the finish would hold up with the high temps. Maybe other people can chime in with their experience.

pola0502ds, Thanks for the complement. It's a 3 disk floor sander that I rented. I walked it up and down the slab until it looked acceptable. I stained and I'm going to put a few coats of polyurethane over it. I will be using the cork pads on the bottom of my kettles same as Kal uses to protect the finish. If you seen this close up you could see how crude it is, I went for a rustic look trying to use it's beat up patina and some of it looks pretty rough. Castermmt

I love the rustic look of old wood. If you want to add to it take a chain or some rope and slip on some nuts, washers, and anthing that will slip onto the chain or rope. Then wait for your wife to piss you off and take it out on the table. Gives it a good old and rustic look.

Nice brewery! The only thing I would change about it is the background.. I would much rather like it in my garage! haha. That table is the cherry topping to your build! Good job!

Mike at chugger advised me against the nintys on the pump input. I don't have any issues, but if you, I would remove them. Also, do you hace the males cams on the hoses? I found it easier to have the females on the hoses.

Looks great, that table is awesome
