All,
I am testing my panel today. My amp meter was working fine. I turned on my element, started heating up water and then the meter shut off. I tested the transformer, and it seems dead. It was also really hot and the volt meter transformer was not. The volt meter is a honeywell and the amp meter is a chasis mount transformer from the Shack.
thoughts?

Transformer should not have been really hot. Sounds like the transformer was shorted and toasted itself.

rosenjm,
Thanks, it must have. I cut the wires and removed it, not sure if I am going to replace it or not.
