As a follow up, I received a prompt reply from Electrical Parts (I assume it was Tim) - they explained that there was a mix up at the factory, and new lights would be coming in late next week, and they'll send the replacements out then. They are a great outfit to deal with, no question about it!

just checked mine, and they were all ok apart from the blue power lamp, which looked green. the red, yellow, white and green were as they should be. I wonder if they will ship a replacement to Norway?

I just received my lights, and crap, some are green. Plus, the reset button was broken.
Ah, the woes of an electric builder! Time to return......

Kal gave us good instructions to follow, I used different control PID's and Timer but his design made it work.

Yeah my blue lights are aqua, lol. Oh well, at least they are all the same. I may see if they'll replace them, but I'm not too concerned.

I just talked with Tim at Pioneer and they will replace the blue lights and some other issues I had with my order. They said to keep the old ones and not worry about sending them back - too much hassle for the $$. They said they would get it in the mail, pronto. Now, that's great customer service.

Anyone out there want (2) blue, but really green lights?

This is ridiculous. All the other problems people are having besides the light problem. I have my panel build but with no power so i cannot test anything else. I bought everything from them in one shot including my relays..

Something is fishy about not needing them back.. They may be cheap but a quick change and the light is fixed and theres a resale..

Keep'em so that you can start a pile like my list of extra parts: Smile

While I don't have incorrectly assembled lights, I do have a pile of incandescent (120V and 240V) lights that just didn't look very nice. Also have different switches that they sent me by mistake too.... and what seems like 204 other extras. Even an extra digital (LED) timer (that I decided to not go with because the colour didn't match the rest of the panel - yup, really).

Why? This is very typical. For the time and effort that it would take them to refund you the shipping cost and all the back and forth that requires, including changing the light fronts, it's just not worth it to them. Especially if it's only a handful of lights. I don't blame them. Many stores do this.

The lights only cost *US* about $3 each so their cost is probably half that or even less. Probably a buck each or so. Maybe less. It's not worth getting someone to send back what amounts to $5 worth of parts that then also need to be re-assembled/changed. They probably don't have spare tops anyway.

They sent me 4 wrong switches and told me to keep them even though they're perfectly re-sellable. Same reason. The $5-8 worth of parts (to them) is not worth the time/hassle/manpower.

Pola, the parts are so cheap that it would cost more to ship it back than what it's worth. I get your point, but they look at it as a trade-off or what is cheaper. For them to receive, adjust, and sent back out is too much. I, on the other hand, don't want to see this stuff end up in a land fill.

Regardless, they answered their phone and said they would take care of it.

If they really are that cheap then I guess it doesn't make sense. I sell product and work in an environment where because of the economy we live in currently, we save where ever we can and if that means reselling an item we had to fix then so be it. But i get the point now..

Did anyone get their lights exchanged? Only my blue power light was the wrong color - green led with blue lens. Not a big deal but I'm little anal about things like this.

From the sounds of it, if you have a problem they are more than willing to replace it for you. Just call the company and ask for Tim, he is the one I have dealt with.

Just out of curiosity, anyone get their replacement lights yet? I think I was probably the first person to call and still have received no replacement lights. I was sent my replacement contact block that I reported on the same call to Pioneer.
