Hi Kal,
Your forum in becoming more and more active, which is definitely a good thing! Good start and nice work.
I was wondering. It happened twice to me now that while typing a reply, someone else is simultaneously posting a reply to the same thread. That interference can sometimes lead to unnecessary redundancies.
I have seen forums where you actually get a warning whilst typing a reply, in case someone else is beating you to it.
Any chance of incorporating such function on this site?
I am not skilled in these things myself so I have no idea how easy or hard that is... others may have more experience
just an idea

That always happens to me so I usually just edit what I wrote, annoying but you said I hate to sound redundant also. I never knew that type of alert could be setup, nice concept.

Yes, I've seen this done too... anything can be done of course but it would be custom programming. The always question the usefulness however as the forum can't know what people are talking about. There are often multiple ideas/thoughts going on. All the forum does is tell you "someone has responding since you started typing" which is often not that useful.
If you post something and it's redundant, there's no harm in leaving it. Having 2 people chime in with essentially the same response (in my mind) reinforces whatever is being said. If the two (or more) posters have slighly different thoughts then that's fine too! That brings on more discussion.
Of course, as Greg mentioned, you can always go back and delete or edit your post anytime.
Kal
