Your AV rack in the background. Not to pull you away from any home brew related articles, but perhaps you may have an 'off topic article' on your AV setup sometime in the future?

Well - simply - extremely well done! It is great to see the pictures behind build. We do quite a bit of A/V builds, but that one is quite unique!

Really? What sort of A/V builds do you do? What's unique about mine? Other than the fact that I use a CRT projector (most use digitals) I thought mine was fairly typical. Most of my ideas and concepts are stolen from others! Wink

It's the execution that is unique. Most screw it up. No, I take that back, IMO, all screw it up in one way or another - except yours. How much involvement did you have on the construction portion?

The basement of this house was already framed and drywalled. The bar was already installed too so I was somewhat limited in the space I could use. I moved a few walls, carpeted, built the riser, and did all of the home theater related work and setup including calibration.

I "know" Kal from the CurtPalme.com site, he is the one that turned me on to brewing. He was asking some questions about his exhaust fan in an off topic thread over there. I followed that thread, didn't understand a single thing about homebrew. I was (am still actually) remodeling my basement and asked him a few questions about his keg set-up. I wanted to put a kegerator in another room, next thing I knew I was putting together brewing equipment.

The world really has gotten small since the Al Gore invented the Internet.

I like your speakers they look like a large version of my Paradigm speakers. What does your suppressor/conditioner do?

Anyone woman that tells you they want that... you listen to them! Smile

And beer in the home theater is good too. I don't know how to watch movies without a beer.

I move a lot so I use a power conditioner for whenever I'm in a area with dirty power to protect my electronics. I used to get some wild power spikes when I lived in Mexico and Greece. It fried my TV and computer so I bought some protection. It first I thought "oh no they got power problems in Canada" so I had to ask. I love the sound of the Paradigms. You can get better sound quality with other speakers but you'll pay dearly for it.
