I bought a used panel from a forum member about 4 months back and finally got it up and running. I was told that the voltmeter didn't work, but it wasn't until I powered up the unit a couple weeks ago that I discovered the doorbell transformer and power supply were both fried as well. No worries - I simply bought replacement components from Kal. When they arrived I found out during a visual inspection that they were different than the previous components.

I didn't mind the new components, but the mounting holes on the base of the transformer are smaller than the previous hole size meaning the bolts which fit perfectly before now won't fit the new transformer. Also, the new power supply is differently sized than the previous one, both in length/width dimensions (now larger) and in the size of the nylon mounting hardware (now smaller). That one won't fit into my previously perfectly tapped holes.

I'll likely drill slightly larger holes in the transformer base, but having to remove the entire back panel to drill new holes for the power supply circuit now seems like a much bigger fix than the original issue.

Has anyone else who experienced this care to comment as to what they did? If not do you have any creative ideas on how to proceed?

Thread adapters are one option if you don't want to modify anything. They look like this: https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1tUY7Kf5TBuNjSspcq6znGFXaD.jpg_q50.jpg

The power supplies are so light that there's no need to have all 4 bolted down to the backplate. One is enough. You can still install the nylon mounting hardware in the other 3 to ensure it's offset from the backplate and just have the 1 bolt that is fastened.
