I rebuilt my CP after a loose connection caused melted components on the 30A branch. I have tested everything and I have one issue I can't figure out. My MLT PID will show the ALM1 is firing but the Alarm Light and Alarm signal do not energize. They do energize when ALM2 fires. Since the same wiring is used for both I can only assume my MLT PID is defective. Does that seem to be a good conclusion?

Yup. Assuming the wiring is correct. Sounds like the red LED in the PID that shows ALM1 being on works, but the relay that is supposed to close to enable the output doesn't. You can confirm this with a multimeter set to AC volts:

Measure AC volts across screws 1 and 13 when the ALM1 light is off. It should be 0VAC.
Measure AC volts across screws 1 and 13 when the ALM1 light is on. It should be 120VAC.
Measure AC volts across screws 14 and 13 when the ALM2 light is off. It should be 0VAC.
Measure AC volts across screws 14 and 13 when the ALM2 light is on. It should be 120VAC.

Assumption is you're using this PID: https://shop.theelectricbrewery.com/collections/temperature-controllers/products/syl-2352-pid-temperature-controller

Sorry for the slow response.

The PID is defective. I measured volts as you suggested and ALM1 relay is not closing. In fact, when ALM2 fires I can hear an audible click when the LED illuminates and the relay closes but not when the ALM1 illuminates. I have a "spare" PID from another planned project that I can re-purpose. Thanks for the advice Kal!

Figured it was likely the output relay - a simple swap!
