Any personal experience from anyone on reducing the amount of hops they use for an IPA and got great results? My NEIPA uses a ridiculous amount of hops (2.575 oz/gal) and I'd like to reduce the amount but interested in hearing other people's experiences.

I think it comes down to personal perception as well as your process. I tried a similar experiment recently with a Pliny the Elder clone I brewed (much less hops), and didn't like it as much as my original recipe. Someone else may think differently. I suggest trying a reduced hop beer yourself and decide for yourself as at the end of the day that's all that matters. I do agree with the 'more is not always better' approach however, but context is incredibly important and lost most of the time.
