Unsure if I'm posting in the correct forum. If not, I apologize and please move the post to the correct forum.
I recently brewed a cream ale using flaked rice for the first time. During brew day clean up I noticed a red band in the brew kettle. I wipe the red band with a soapy sponge.
A while later, the red band has returned.
This time I attack the red band with a wet white scrubber.
Once again, when dry, the red band has returned.
Is this normal when using flaked rice?

BK is the recommended Blichmann Boilmaker G1. This was my 10th electric brew. Haven't had the red band after any of the other brews. Only new ingredient was the flaked rice as I'm making a series of cream ales to determine what I like best.
