|
|
So i accidentally bought a used digital AC unit today. The good thing is it doesnt need any input once powered back up. Goes to the same settings as before. The temp only goes down to 64, but im guessing this is normal as ive never seen an AC unit go much cooler than that.
Do you think I can make it work?? Its a GE model, very basic 5000 BTU. I will attach a picture of it if possible.
well as usual, says trying to upload an empty file.... I dont get it.... every single time....
Here is a link to another post with a picture.

That’s exactly what I’m doing. It keeps saying empty file. No idea. I use this same forum on other sites with no issue.

Got your picture by email ... it's a 2mb image with a massive 4032 x 3024 resolution. Maximum file attachment size for images is 300kb. You'll need to resize before uploading (this old forum software doesn't do that for you).
File size limits: http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/forum/attach_rules.php?f=24
The "empty file" error doesn't help either and causes confusion. Sorry!

I have an digital AC too. You use an inkbird or something similar to get the glycol/water mixture below 32 degrees.

The electric part is the easiest part for me. Bending the copper without puncturing or crimping the lines was nerve racking.

I ended up giving it back to the seller who was gracious enough to accept the return. I ordered an analong AC unit will be here Friday. I’ll follow up with a build thread and pics.

funny I have that same unit or close I bought 2 for my second story bedrooms that get up to 80F in the summer but I can't stand the noise, it puts off a pitch that just doesn't like my ears, so one is in the box and the other in a window but not being used, maybe I should try something, mine has a remote and that's handy
