not sure if this is the right size but I have one of these and you will need one for the weldless fitting

I saw the HBT thread back in the January/February time frame and built it with 1.5" weldless fittings, mainly because it was easier to source everything for 1.5". I drain into the sink and the water coming out is about 150 degrees. When I first read the thread, no one had reported back with results of any brews they had done, so I was a little worried about things not boiling off. So far (5 batches in), I've had no detectable DMS by a few judges that have tried a few pints in my home brew club. The wastewater smells absolutely nasty once you add a bittering hop - I was worried mid brew that I had made a major mistake, but overall I'm very happy!

As far as placement, I drilled a hole in the lid of my boil kettle (w/ a hole saw from ss brewtech) in case things didn't work out. I'm actually glad with it being in the lid since it's the highest point. As long as the drain hose doesn't get clogged up with other things you're dumping in the sink, I've had no steam come out at all. Also, It's actually cooler in the basement when I'm boiling than when I have the HLT/MLT full of grain and water.

I'm liking this idea to have half the lid hing up and the rest clamped down, that way you can stir and add hops without pulling the whole lid off

just had a crazy thought looking at the picture above, if you had a vacuum system already in place you could attach a hose to the top of that T, it would suck air from the bottom as well as the steam from the pot

Do you have a parts list for your set up? It's exactly what I need.

Thanks!

I think this is everything in that picture, all except the connection to your water, you need gaskets too and I guess I double clicked on the weldless bulkhead

the height of the spray adapter is going to be different based on the water pressure, I just guessed on the nipple, that could be wrong for some people

That looks to be almost everything that I bought, except as Ozarks mentioned, the gaskets, along with the QDs and the water hose. Make sure you use a hose rated for pressure and not a silicone hose. Otherwise the thing will balloon up on you real quick. Ask me how I know Laughing
