Hi,
I am using BTP for recipe development analysis etc. On the beer style dropdown, there are duplicates of nearly all the styles, differentiated by 2008 and 2015. Which should I use? 2008 or 2015, or does it not matter?
Thx

Beer styles guidelines are dictated by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). See: https://www.bjcp.org
Guidelines were released in 2008 and then again in 2015. The differences are usually minor, some new styles created or split, etc.
What you choose in your software is completely up to you. All it does is show how your recipe compares to the guidelines. It doesn’t change the recipe or affect it in any way. If you don’t care, don’t pick anything. It only exists for comparison purposes.
For more info, refer to the software documentation.
Cheers!
Kal
