I'm wondering if anyone has any clever suggestions on how I can fix this severed relay. I suppose one thing I could do is drill/tap it and use terminal spades or a ring terminal. I'm wondering if anyone has a quicker/easier solution.

I can't get the metal hot enough to solder.

see attached.

Is it new? I would get the seller to replace it as that’s due to a bad weld. Cheers!

Unfortunately not new... and I will have to divulge that I broke the relay. I had to swap out the 220v coils for 110v as I ordered the wrong set.

If the gold coloured area is brass, it may be soft enough for you to drill through carefully and use a bolt with a large flat washer to hold the braided wire in place.
