So it's that time of year again.

Time for my wife's soccer and kickball teams to invade for the Super Bowl.

I have my beer engine set up. I have rigged my glycol system to cool the lines from the cellar (er, garage) from my cask to the beer engine. Which is right next to the TV.

This started off as a derivation of Kal's Fuller's ESB. Due to supply issues, I have changed it enough to put it in it's own thread.

1.5 oz Corn Sugar dissolved in water added to cask

So, I ran into technical difficulties. I got distracted by an unexpected visitor was I was setting up to sparge and left my kettle drain open. Lost probably 1 gallon at about the three gallon mark.

As a result, pre boil gravity was a tad weak. I swag'd how much extract from grain made it into the wort, and then grabbed a half pound of DME and added it.

Yeah. One of those days. At least mash pH hit within .1 of my estimate.

I scaled the grain bill down to what I think I got based on the gravity and volume at the end of sparge.

Style is now basically a Best Bitter, and is a tad on the hoppy side for the style.
