Do all dissimilar metals have the problem of galvanic reaction?
What about stainless steel and chrome? I want to hang some of my tools on a chrome shelves using ss hooks. Will I have a galvanic problem?
Thanks.

According to info here
http://www.fastenal.com/content/feds/pdf/Article%20-%20Corrosion.pdf
Chrome is 3rd from the top (top is highly corrosive).
Stainless steel (at least 304/316) is near the bottom (not as corrosive).
What about a stainless steel hook on a chrome shelf? I'm asking as I just don't know enough about this subject.
Thanks.

As long as the hooks don't get wet, you will have very little problems with galvanic corrosion. Also chrome is not cadmium.
