Hey guys,
I have the electric brew control panel.
Every time I brew I reach a boil but its not "vigorous."
The heating element even though it indicates its firing (the light is on)
will not heat past 210. Thoughts ?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

We're going to need more information:

1. What type of control panel is it? (One we built, or from our kit, or all parts you sourced yourself?)
2. How many heating elements do you have?
3. What wattage heating elements?
4. What volume are you boiling?
5. What duty cycle are you running on the PIDs? (Are you running in manual or auto mode)?
6. What do the voltmeter / ampmeter show when boiling?
7. Did you do the PID setup / calibration first? How?
8. What altitude are you at?

Last but not least:

9. What are you boiling? Water or wort? Reason I ask is that large volumes of water never look quite 'vigorous' when boiling so what you see may be perfectly normal. The 210F temp may be normal if the PID wasn't calibrated and/or you're at a slightly higher altitude (in which case boiling may be at 210F instead of 212F).

It was the Pre Assembled standard 30A from you guys

Running 2 elements 1 in the HLT and 1 in the Boil Kettle (HERMS system in HLT) 5500 W (pre assembled from you guys)

Volume is between 8-15 G (depending on 5 or 10G batch)

I did the PID calibration as directed in your manual

At sea level (literally ocean front)

Boiling Wort

I will have to check the PID voltage

From what I can tell its running in manual ( I followed the setup directions and put the value to 0 as directed)

Hi mberni,

What duty cycle are you running on the PIDs? (ie: What percentage from 0-100%)

No need to check the PID voltage - I'm curious what the voltmeter / ampmeter show when boiling.
