Complete off the topic question - has anyone ever done a survey on the 9 to 5 make up of the chat room here? Several people in my brew club are either teachers (chem teachers) or engineers - just curious Idea

Electrical Engineer here!

Homebrewing does seem tend to draw the techno crowd more than others it seems.

SW Product Manager. We joke about how making beer is product manager - make, test, measure, iterate (and ideally improve), repeat.

Mechanical Engineer here functioning as a Project Manager.

Two co-workers are brewers - Instrument Engineer and ME - I'll have to send them a link to the chat room!

A lot of fantastic experience in the room and creativity - chat threads are a learning experience...

I have a software degree but actually do mostly electrical engineering work. I've stepped back to part time at my day job and I'm actually brewing professionally now. I got invited to join a local startup brewery as a partner/brewer and I jumped on it. It's hard work, but VERY rewarding!
