Have a Danby Beverage Center for fermenting and lagering. It's large enough for a 6 1/2 gallon carboy. Nice digital readout.
Now the bad part. Lose electricity, even briefly, and the temp resets to 54F.
Does anyone know of a hack or mod to make the beverage center remember the set temp in case there is another power outage.
I know I can get and use a UPS, but I'm hoping I can mod the beverage center to make it remember the temp.
Thanks.

A few months late but I just saw your post and was wondering if you might buy a Battery Backup like what is used for Computer systems. I bet that would work between your Beverage Center and the wall outlet and provide power in the event of a power loss on the house, Not sure how long it would take to drain on the Danby though.

Unlikely. That would require you to add some non-volatile memory to the unit and change the built-in software to use it. Not easy things to do as you would not have access to the software. Not impossible, but certainly not easy.
